Hi I’m April. I am 25 years old and live with my partner of two years, Tony. We have one little boy Charlie who was born in September 2011. I had the privilege of running a very successful family day care service from home for two years in Sydney and found it the most rewarding job, enjoying every moment of it.

I am the oldest of a large family including six brothers: Jack (21), Billy (18), Harley, Dylan, Cameron (all 10), Jaxon (7), and a sister Heather (15).

I hold a current first aid certificate, have attended all course that are required, studied children services through year 11 at school and I am currently doing my Certificate III in Children’s Services through Tafe. All certificates are displayed at the back of my portfolio.

Over the years I have done plenty of babysitting for family, friends and neighbours. I had experience with premature triplets as my three brothers were seven weeks early.

I moved to Perth a year and a half ago to be with my partner, and have been doing temping work in administration up till now. I’m looking forward to becoming a family day care educator again.

I love working with children. It has been something I have always wanted to do since I was a little girl and always looked forward to the day I became a mum. I am now a proud mum of my little boy Charlie. I treasure every minute I spend with my partner, little boy, family and friends, as they are all very important to me.
